The Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia, having examined the claim filed by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia to invalidate the auction of land plots located in the Nairi community and to apply the consequences of invalidity, decided by a ruling on April 28, 2025, to satisfy the claim only partially — rejecting it entirely with regard to the consequences. On April 30, 2025, during the preliminary hearing, the Criminal Court of First Instance of Yerevan lifted the house arrest imposed as a preventive measure on A.P., a client of our office’s attorney Edgar Ayvazyan, who is accused of committing a grave crime (Article 393, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia), and replaced it with a more lenient measure — administrative supervision. On April 24, 2025, the Criminal Court of General Jurisdiction of First Instance of Yerevan, Republic of Armenia, presided over by Judge Tatevik Muradyan, considered the investigative body’s motion to apply detention as a preventive measure against our client V.H., who is accused of committing a crime under Article 290, Part 3, Clause 2 of the RA Criminal Code. The Court rejected the motion and applied alternative preventive measures.

One of the insurance companies operating in the Republic of Armenia filed a claim against our client, Y.S., demanding reimbursement of a paid insurance amount, based on the right of recourse. A few days after our office’s attorney, Edgar Ayvazyan, took on the representation of Y.S. and filed a motion to apply the statute of limitations, the insurance company withdrew its claim (Civil Case No. ԱՐԱԴ/0951/02/24). Thus, another victory was added to our office’s extensive and effective practice of representing individuals in cases against insurance companies.

LSA’s lawyers and crypto industry expert Eduard Avetisyan discussed the draft law regulating the field of cryptocurrencies, the challenges and risks of its adoption, international experience, and domestic specifics. The speakers presented justifications for adopting a radically revised version of the draft.

LSA Law Firm has conducted a legal study and analysis of the draft of the RA law on 'Cryptoassets,' identified issues within the draft, and presented its vision for the regulation of cryptocurrencies in Armenia, proposing amendments based on international best practices.

The Unified Social Service had refused to grant the military pension for long-term service to three of our office’s clients, effectively disregarding a significant portion of their work experience. As a result of the arguments presented by our office's lawyers, Tatevik Malkhasyan and Edgar Ayvazyan, the Administrative Court of the Republic of Armenia stated that the Unified Social Service had misinterpreted the legal regulations, and therefore ordered it to grant our clients the pensions they are entitled to (Administrative cases No. ՎԴ5/0637/05/24, ՎԴ5/0637/05/24, ՎԴ5/0639/05/24). On March 1, 2025, the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan City applied detention as a preventive measure against our client E.N., who was accused of committing a serious crime (drug trafficking under aggravating circumstances), for a period of 2 months. On April 10, 2025, the Criminal Court of Appeals of the Republic of Armenia upheld the special appeal submitted by attorney Edgar Ayvazyan and released our client from detention, applying house arrest and a travel ban as preventive measures instead.
